Habitat monolith. Beaminster - 2022

This large Ash needed to be removed due to Ash dieback, a discussion was had with the customer about leaving the trunk of the tree as a standing monolith and adding habitat features. This one had a bat box, bird box, owl box, artificial cavity and artificial cracks built into the standing structure to add a range of potential new homes. This was all done with a range of chainsaws from with in the tree with the only added material being 15cm Oak dowls to hold the face plates in place.
