Hedge laying. Kingcombe - 2020

Each winter Toller Tree Care will lay anything from 500m – 2500m of mixed native hedges in the Dorset style. Laying a hedge is the traditional way to maintain a field boundary that offers huge benefits for wildlife, biodiversity and the appearance of our countryside!

This particular hedge was about 225m long. Before we could start laying we cleared the scrub back to the fence line with hedge cutters and the ride on brushcutter. As we worked through laying all of the material that we cut out was stacked within the track. We borrowed a Telehandler with a large grab to move all of this to a fire site for a very efficient clear up.
